An important part of skin care is also caring for your lips. Lip scrubs are a great way to keep your lips hydrated and soft. They are used to remove dead skin cells and assist in the fading of dark marks that linger around the mouth. Here are 4 types of easy DIY sugar lip scrubs you should try out.

  • 1 tablespoon of Vaseline
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

Choose any DIY sugar lip scrub you’d like and mix the provided ingredients in a small shallow bowl. Store the mixture in a sealable container and use it when needed. You can use a toothbrush and/or your fingers for application.

Using your fingers is a better option as it is not as rough. Usually, it is not advisable to scrub your lips daily as it could cause the wearing out of the outermost skin. If you scrub too hard, you could end up damaging your lips.

Now that you’ve got some DIY sugar scrub ideas, make yourself one to keep your lips smooth, soft and hydrated. Use Vaseline afterwards to moisturise, soften and rehydrate your lips.
