The norm is that guardians are usually the ones who influence a healthy lifestyle for the rest of the family. However, we are witnessing more young people prioritizing their health and I do not see why they are not able to influence the rest of their family to lead a more wellness conscious lifestyle.

The benefits of a wellness family affair
Let us paint a picture, shall we? Imagine a reality in which your mother, father, sibling or whoever is family to you, is actively taking action to better their health and lifestyle. Of course, health looks different for every individual. However, a typically healthy parent would be able to engage in more physically demanding activities with their children. When the whole family is part of the journey it becomes easier to hold each other accountable. Furthermore sharing this experience provides an opportunity for a family to bond and grow together. This ultimately strengthens relationships.
How to get your family on board
Hear me out. I am not informing you to force your family to start drinking green smoothies and meditate every day. That would be a tad bit ridiculous, I know. The key to making this kind of change effective is to steadily and gradually introduce little changes. Rather than overwhelming your family with a lot of crazy health and fitness rules which could probably discourage them. Another thing to keep in mind is to be patient and understanding of every member. Obviously our bodies, schedules and preferences are different within a family so everybody might not do things the same way and that is okay.
A family unit is a team and teams usually win when all participants bring their best foot forward. Therefore for each family member to be able to perform at their level best they would need to be physically, mentally, as well as socially healthy.
