Nothing screams Juicy as much as the month of June!

Hello there lovely readers.

As we approach the middle of the year, we’re so thankful to have you, our readers on board.

This year started off on such a positive note for our magazine and we’re proud to say, we’re still going strong and nothing is stopping us from giving our readers what they want. From fashion, style, food, hair and daily lifestyles, we continue to bless your screens. A big thank you to everyone that takes time to check out our website.

For the month of June, we are honestly blessed to have our grade 12s and 11s starting with school again. I know quite a number of grade 12s, including myself, were very eager to complete their academic year this year and fortunately for them, they’re getting this opportunity.

I think we should all see this as a second chance, because this is a fresh start once again for the learners. I think many of us took the lockdown period as a time for mental health and growth, so high school is certainly not ready for us !

As for the rest of the learners that start in July, take this opportunity to continue focusing on yourself and ensuring that you’re in a good mental health for when school reopens, because the pressure that awaits you will certainly not come easy.

However, with the rise of the sudden cases, a lot of learners and parents are question if whether the idea of schools re-opening, is actually in the best interest of our children. Because for the past week, a case has been reported almost everyday, one can’t help, but wonder how these numbers will rapidly increase if school re-opens. This is unfortunately one of the circumstances that we’ll have to face if anything goes south, we continue to put our trust in the government and we’re certain that they’ll continue to make the best decisions for the nation as a whole.

On the other hand, level 3 of lockdown looks quite promising. With the sale of alcohol being permitted again lol, I know every legal eagle is looking forward. You can finally hit the restaurant with your girls and have a burger and a milkshake. We’re all super excited to make the most out of entertainment centers and create more memories with our loved ones. But don’t forget, continue sanitizing and wearing your masks, while having your fun.

Last but not least, even though Africa Day is only set out to be celebrated on the 25th of May, let’s continue to appreciate our great continent every single day, because there’s nothing more to be grateful about like our home. My heart was honestly full when everyone repeatedly posted our African continent today, because it reminds me about how blessed we are.

Remember, Kwame Nkrumah once said,

I’m not African, because I was born in Africa, but because Africa was born in me.

Kwame Nkrumah

Never forget that and most importantly, stay tuned for great work from our contributors.

Much love and light family.
