Smoothies you should try out this summer!

There is no better way to kickoff summer than drinking some healthy smoothies. They are great for breakfast or snack and they cool you off and give you energy. Awesome right?

Here are 5 smoothies for you to try out and help you beat the heat.


1. Summer in a cup smoothie

Ingriedients

  • 1 1/4 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 large ripe, sliced and frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until creamy and smooth, scraping down sides as needed.
  2. Taste and adjust flavor as needed. Add more milk or fruit juice if too thick. Add more frozen banana if not sweet enough. Serve immediately. Freezes well (or make into Popsicles).

2. Raspberry Lemonade Smoothie

Ingridients

  • 1 can lemonade 
  • 2 cups frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 cups ice (more of less depending on how runny you like it)
  • Fresh lemons (optional)

Directions

  1. In blender, puree the ingredients until smooth.
  2. Garnish with fresh lemons.

3. Mango Madness

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • medium carrot, coarsely grated

Directions

  1. In blender, puree the ingredients until smooth.
  2. To make smoothie bowl: Make Razzle-Dazzle Smoothie and transfer to bowls. Top with kiwi slices, coconut flakes, and raspberries. (or make into Popsicles)

4. Green Goddess Smoothie

Ingridients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 avocado
  • bananas, cut into pieces and frozen
  • baby spinach
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (optional)

Directions

  1. In blender, puree the ingredients until smooth.

5. Berrylicious Smoothie

Ingridients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 cup almond milk

Directions

  1. Blend all ingredients in blender. Add more almond milk if mixture is too thick.
