This month we caught up with Miss Teen Namibia 2018; Nicole Landsberg, an inspirational teen with an incredible mission. Read on to read what she is up to.
Who is Nicole Landsberg?
I am Nicole Landsberg, Miss Teen Namibia 2018 and I love being a lady in every way. I have a kind heart and I’m always willing to care and give a helping hand. Children are my passion.
How did you modelling career come about?
At a very young age I attended modelling school for about 2 years. I stopped with modelling for a while and then entered my first pageant at age 6. From then on I continued to enter similar pageants and competitions.
How did winning Miss Teen Namibia feel?
I felt overwhelmed and exited at the same time. At that moment nothing really seemed to be a reality, because I did not expect it at all.
Who inspires you as a model?
Any future plans/ projects?
At the moment I have a lot of small community projects that I’m involved in. I’m also preparing to represent Namibia at Miss Teen Continents in Las Vegas next year June.
Do you have anything else you’d love to become or would you like to be a full time model?
At the moment I’m not a model at all. If I had to choose I would love to be a portrait model and at the same time study to become a dental hygienist.
What was the most interesting shoot you’ve ever done?
The Miss Teen Namibia crowning shoot was the most interesting and t was also my first shoot.
What changes would you like make in your community?
I would like to reduce child abuse and peer pressure under teens. Lastly, I would like to encourage young girls to look after themselves in a respectful manner.
Favourite place to hang?
On the social scene. I prefer to spend time with friends and family either at home or at a restaurant.
What are your thoughts on the Namibian modelling industry?
Namibia only has a few modelling agencies. Although I’m not a model, I do feel like the models do not get enough exposure to take them further. Although Namibia have a lot of beautiful talented models, they do not have a large variety of opportunities.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I want to finish my matric year and graduate with good marks. Attending University would fulfill my dreams of becoming a dental hygienist. I see myself as a independent young woman in five years time.
How would you describe your personal style, where do you pull your inspiration from?
As for inspiration, my role model is Rolene Strauss but for personal style, I tend to create my own unique identity.
